About Nate

Nate Butler has led a distinguished career as a realtor, an associational mission strategist, a pastor, an Army officer, and a civil servant.

Currently, he is a realtor with RE/MAX Signature Properties, in Junction City. He also serves as a consultant for pastors in the Smoky Hill Baptist Association, and City Commissioner for Junction City, Kansas.

His education includes a Bachelor of Business Degree from Wichita State University, a Master of Science Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Arts Degree in Theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He has been married to his wife, Terry, for 39 years, has three married children and six grandchildren.

Military and Veterans

Having spent more than 20 years in the US Army, Nate knows the sacrifice our veterans and military personnel have made. These men and women have answered the call of duty with courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protect our way of life. We owe them not just our gratitude, but also our full support. Supporting our veterans and active-duty service members isn’t just a policy—it’s a promise we must keep to those who have given so much for us. Nate’s desire is to continue making Kansas a place where veterans want to live, work, and play.

Kansas Taxpayers

Kansas taxpayers are the hardworking backbone of our communities, driving our economy and supporting vital public services. Nate stands with Kansas taxpayers, committed to doing what we can at the state level to lower the tax burden. Our focus is on policies that promote economic growth, create good-paying jobs, and keep more money in the pockets of those who earn it. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Kansas for all. Nate believes in transparency and accountability to ensure taxpayers see the benefits of their contributions.

Farmers & Ranchers

Nate grew up working on farms, and showing cattle in FFA and 4-H. He understands farmers and ranchers are key components to our economy. With an ever-increasing population, there is more demand for animal and plant products. Not only do Kansas farmers and ranchers feed fellow Kansans, but they also feed people around the world. In addition to traditional farming, Kansas should be more engaged with encouraging opportunities for agritourism.

K-12 Education

A 2021 report by the Kansas Policy Institute revealed that only 20% of 10th graders were on track for college and careers, as per achievement tests by KDHE. Necessary measures should be taken to ensure our students are prepared for a career or to continue their education at a 4-year college or technical college. Since 2022, the state has fully funded K-12 education, a practice that should be sustained to ensure educators have the necessary resources to prepare future generations.
